I’m a big science fiction fan and have read many different science fiction authors. I’m on a Ben Bova kick of late and just recently finished reading Millennium. Millennium is the story if Chet Kinsman and his life living in a colony on the Moon. Earth is on the verge of a nuclear war and Kinsman is trying to stop it. There are many science fiction aspects in it that still exceed today’s technology, but the idea of people destroying Earth is a real one. Maybe a nuclear strike between nations is not as worrisome as it was during the Cold War, but global warming and pollution are serious concerns today. The book also shows the success and failures of the individuals beyond the main mission. There are struggles with family, relationships, friendships, etc. In other words, although it is science fiction, it is not all that different from the struggles we face today. If you have any interest in science fiction, you will enjoy this book. I give it a 5 out of 5 stars.
