Leviticus – Chapter 15: Discharges Causing Uncleanness

Now that God is done sending down rules on how to clean skin diseases and mold, it’s time to learn about bodily discharges.  Oh this is going to be good!  🙂

“When any man has an unusual bodily discharge, such a discharge is unclean. Whether it continues flowing from his body or is blocked, it will make him unclean.” – Leviticus 15:2-3

This begs the question on the difference between a usual and unusual bodily discharge.  What is considered unusual?

“If the man with the discharge spits on anyone who is clean, they must wash their clothes and bathe with water, and they will be unclean till evening.” – Leviticus 15:8

Good to know that God has considered what happens when a man with a discharge spits on someone.  WTF?

“A clay pot that the man touches must be broken, and any wooden article is to be rinsed with water.” – Leviticus 15:12

Apparently clay is uncleanable?  A clay pot touched by a man with an unusual discharge must be destroyed!

“When a man has an emission of semen, he must bathe his whole body with water, and he will be unclean till evening.” – Leviticus 15:16

Got that men?  When you jack off you must bathe, but then remain unclean until evening!  Bathing does NOT fully clean you.  Somehow, waiting until evening cleans you.  God is the WORST doctor in the history of the Universe!

“When a woman has her regular flow of blood, the impurity of her monthly period will last seven days, and anyone who touches her will be unclean till evening.” – Leviticus 15:19

LOL!  Women are punished again.  They are unclean for seven days!  Waiting until evening on the same day isn’t enough according to God.  Women must wait 7 days!

“If a man has sexual relations with her and her monthly flow touches him, he will be unclean for seven days; any bed he lies on will be unclean.” – Leviticus 15:24

The man must wait 7 days too, but not due to anything he did.  He must wait 7 days because of the woman’s blood.  Women are to blame once again, according to God.

“You must keep the Israelites separate from things that make them unclean, so they will not die in their uncleanness for defiling my dwelling place, which is among them.” – Leviticus 15:31

Is it the uncleanliness that kills the Israelites?  Is it the disease that kills them?  No.  It is God that kills them.  God kills them for defiling His dwelling place.  I love you too God.

Wow!  What a joke of a God in this chapter.  It’s not just this chapter as you well know, but the God who is all-knowing creates this silly rules that are based on pure stupidity.  In some ways, Leviticus itself can serve as proof God doesn’t exist.  🙂
