Joshua 16 continues where the previous two chapters left off which is the distribution of the lands God and the Israelites stole from the native peoples. This is a very short chapter (only 10 verses) that discussing the lands given to Joseph. It ends with this nugget.
“They did not dislodge the Canaanites living in Gezer; to this day the Canaanites live among the people of Ephraim but are required to do forced labor.” – Joshua 16:10
So not all of the native peoples were forced to move or killed. The Canaanites were allowed to live among the Israelites but were required to do forced labor!!! LOL! Slavery! God had the ‘mercy’ to not kill these people but instead allowed them to be enslaved by the Israelites. Is this some sort of sick joke? Unfortunately no. This is the bible and the god Christians across the world worship. They worship a god who was okay with slavery. Sick and disgusting.
