By now we all have a pretty good idea of how every chapter of Psalms goes so let’s jump right in to Psalms 130.
“But with you there is forgiveness, so that we can, with reverence, serve you.” – Psalms 130:4
Contradiction. Mark 3:28-30 says otherwise. The New Testament tells us there is at least one unforgivable sin. Added to that we know God will kill descendants out to the 6th or 10th or nth generation based on the sins of the ancestors, so God makes it very clear he’s not very forgiving.
“I wait for the Lord…” – Psalms 130:6
That’s going to be a VERY long wait!
“Israel, put your hope in the Lord, for with the Lord is unfailing love and with him is full redemption.” – Psalms 130:7
Love? No, not even close. God kills babies and children. He allows slaves. He says it is moral to rape women. This is not a god of love. This is a god of pure evil.
That concludes Psalms 130. It starts with an early contradiction for anyone who actually sits down and takes the time to read the Bible. It ends with one crazy definition of love.
