Psalms – Chapter 8: For the director of music. According to gittith. A psalm of David.

Can David be as whiny as he was in Psalms 6?  Let’s find out.

“Lord, our Lord, how majestic is your name in all the earth!” – Psalms 8:1

Um…speak for yourself David!

“Through the praise of children and infants you have established a stronghold against your enemies, to silence the foe and the avenger.” – Psalms 8:2

Are you kidding me?  Praise from children and infants?  Hardly!  God has brutally murdered children and infants!  They aren’t praising him.  Besides, children and infants only know of a god because their parents indoctrinate them just as they were indoctrinated by their parents.

“You have made them a little lower than the angels and crowned them with glory and honor.” – Psalms 8:5

Humans are just a little lower than angels?  If God hardens the hearts of humans and brutally has them murdered, what does that mean for the angels?  Murdered, but not brutally since they are just a little bit higher than humans?

“Lord, our Lord, how majestic is your name in all the earth!” – Psalms 8:9

Again, speak for yourself David.

To me, the most astonishing part of this chapter is the part in which David says children and infants praise God.  WOW!  I don’t doubt children and infants praise him, but these are the ones indoctrinated and unaware of who God has brutally murdered and hasn’t.  If these children and infants knew the true nature of God, they’d never be praising him.
