Psalm – Chapter 2: Untitled

Our quest through the book of Psalms continues with Chapter 2 today.

“Why do the nations conspire and the peoples plot in vain?” – Psalm 2:1

Easy.  God hardens their hearts.  This is exactly what he did to the Egyptians.

“The One enthroned in heaven laughs; the Lord scoffs at them.” – Psalm 2:4

Interesting reaction for a god who is supposedly all-knowing.  He’s laughing at what he himself caused?

“Serve the Lord with fear and celebrate his rule with trembling.” – Psalm 2:11

Fear me.  Or die.

That’s it for the second chapter in the book of Psalms.  God is acting weird, even more so than normal.  I’m picturing an evil villain cackling.  Then there’s more of the ‘fear me or else’ mantra.  Again, not a god worthy of worship.
