Psalm – Chapter 3: A psalm of David. When he fled from his son Absalom.

After a few chapters in 2 Samuel we move back to the book of Psalms today.

“Lord, how many are my foes; How many rise up against me!” – Psalm 3:1

Dear David.  Stop killing and raping people and they’ll stop rising up against you.  This is not rocket science.

“I lie down and sleep; I wake again, because the Lord sustains me.” – Psalm 3:5

You’re crediting God for waking up each morning?  Are we serious?

“From the Lord comes deliverance. May your blessing be on your people.” – Psalm 3:8

The problem is that deliverance from the Lord too often means a violent death.

That concludes this very short chapter.  David is seeking the help of God.  This is the same God that demands David to kill and does nothing to stop David from raping random women.  Biblical morals.

Coming Soon:  Psalm – Chapter 4:  For the director of music. With stringed instruments. A psalm of David.
