Psalm – Chapter 38: A psalm of David. A petition.

In the last chapter of Psalms we looked at, God was pissed off at evil, completely ignoring the fact he is the one who created evil!!!  Sigh.  Let’s see what this chapter has in store for us.

“Lord, do not rebuke me in your anger or discipline me in your wrath.” – Psalm 38:1

Don’t worry, David.  God doesn’t rebuke or discipline.  He only hardens hearts and murders.

“My friends and companions avoid me because of my wounds; my neighbors stay far away.” – Psalm 38:11

Are you sure, David, that’s why they avoid you?  Are you sure it has nothing to do with the rape and murder of tens to hundreds of thousands you’ve committed?

“I am like the deaf, who cannot hear, like the mute, who cannot speak…” – Psalm 38:13

Um…no.  You are nothing like the deaf and the mute.  They are far more moral than you.  They are far better people than you.

“For I am about to fall, and my pain is ever with me.” – Psalm 38:17

Is your pain greater than those you raped and the families of the loved ones you killed?  Didn’t think so.

“Many have become my enemies without cause; those who hate me without reason are numerous.” – Psalm 38:19

ROFL!!!  Oh my, how my side hurts from all this laughing!

Let me sum up this chapter in three words:  Fuck you David!!!

Coming Soon:  Psalms – Chapter 41:  For the director of music. A psalm of David.
