Today we take a look at the 97th chapter in Psalms. This is definitely the chapter in which God apologizes for all the harm he’s done. Right? Can’t fault me for wishful thinking. 😊
“Clouds and thick darkness surround him; righteousness and justice are the foundation of his throne.” – Psalm 97:2
I hope God has an umbrella because it’s about to rain on him!
“Fire goes before him and consumes his foes on every side.” – Psalm 97:3
Remember that the Bible tells us God created evil in this world. This is like taking credit for putting out the fire you intentionally started.
“Let those who love the Lord hate evil, for he guards the lives of his faithful ones and delivers them from the hand of the wicked.” – Psalm 97:10
Again, God is the one who created evil, according to the Bible. See Isaiah 45:7 if you wish to see the evidence. So saying that those who love the Lord hate evil states that you are loving the very being who created evil in this world according to the book you worship.
This is a chapter filled with one big contradiction. Love the Lord if you hate evil, but wait, by doing so you are loving the one who created the evil you supposedly hate. Hmm….
