Today we continue our trek through the book of Proverbs and look to receive more biblical “wisdom”.
“The Lord works out everything to its proper end…” – Proverbs 16:4
Including the death of starving children?
“Kings detest wrongdoing, for a throne is established through righteousness.” – Proverbs 16:12
WTF? Is the Bible seriously saying there’s never been a bad leader? Ever??!?!?!?! Seriously?!?!
“How much better to get wisdom than gold, to get insight rather than silver!” – Proverbs 16:16
What if that gold and silver is to buy much needed food for children? Any moral person would argue gold/silver in this case is far better than wisdom.
“A violent person entices their neighbor and leads them down a path that is not good.” – Proverbs 16:29
This describes God perfectly! A violent person who leads others down a not so good path.
Once again, another chapter in Proverbs that professes to provide us wisdom but provides very little useful wisdom. Hungry? God has a plan for you. Need money to buy food? Sorry, but wisdom is better than food. SMH.
