It’s Crazy Bible Verse Tuesday! Jesus is credited with many miracles, including raising people from the dead.
“While Jesus was still speaking, someone came from the house of Jairus, the synagogue leader. ‘Your daughter is dead,’ he said. ‘Don’t bother the teacher anymore.’ Hearing this, Jesus said to Jairus, ‘Don’t be afraid; just believe, and she will be healed.’ When he arrived at the house of Jairus, he did not let anyone go in with him except Peter, John and James, and the child’s father and mother. Meanwhile, all the people were wailing and mourning for her. ‘Stop wailing’, Jesus said. ‘She is not dead but asleep.’” – Luke 8:49-52
If you believe Jesus raised this person from the dead, then I have a talking snake and donkey to sell you. 🙂 One of two things have happened here. One, the more likely, is this was a made up story. Or two, the girl was never dead. Maybe sick, maybe tired, but certainly not dead. Use your common sense.
You know the last thing that should have occurred to everyone was supernatural causality.
