God hardened the hearts of the Egyptians to start all of this, and now there’s a prophecy against Egypt? Have they not been unjustifiably punished enough?!?!?!
“See, the Lord rides on a swift cloud and is coming to Egypt.” – Isaiah 19:1
God has to use clouds for transportation?
“I will stir up Egyptian against Egyptian— brother will fight against brother, neighbor against neighbor, city against city, kingdom against kingdom.”- Isaiah 19:2
Hardening the hearts of the Egyptians is not enough for God. He punishes them further for doing bad things that God made them do. Yes, you read that right.
“The waters of the river will dry up, and the riverbed will be parched and dry.” – Isaiah 19:5
God continues killing babies and children. Babies dying of thirst…this is what God is doing, killing babies. The next several verses go on and on about all the things God will do to the Egyptians.
“There is nothing Egypt can do—head or tail, palm branch or reed.” – Isaiah 19:15
Nothing. Nothing will push God to forgive…forgive the things that he made the Egyptians do. Yes, you read that right…again.
“So the Lord will make himself known to the Egyptians, and in that day they will acknowledge the Lord.” – Isaiah 19:21
God is all-powerful. He could do this at any time and do so in peace.
God doesn’t care about the people. He just wants to punish and watch people suffer.
