Hosea – Chapter 8: Israel to Reap the Whirlwind

Based on the title of this chapter, Israel, after being punished, is about to “reap the whirlwinds”!

“But Israel has rejected what is good; an enemy will pursue him.” – Hosea 8:3

Are the Israelites rejecting good? They are rejecting God and God has murdered and raped, so hardly is God good.

“Ephraim has sold herself to lovers.” – Hosea 8:9

God is nothing but a jealous, angry, and abusive husband/boyfriend.

“Now he will remember their wickedness  and punish their sins: They will return to Egypt.” – Hosea 8:13

Back to Egypt, let us not forget, where God forced the Egyptians to harm the Israelites by hardening the Egyptians heart.

God is still pissy. It leaves the question of how many innocent children and babies are dying at the hands of God as he punishes the Israelites.

  1. God! The producer of shit storms. Cranky and proud of it. Thrills at terror and mayhem. Openly boast of casualties and destruction. Gotta love the guy. No, really, you gotta love the guy or you might be on the receiving end of its version of displeasure. Christ, what a psycho.
