Today we start a new book, Habakkuk.
“How long, Lord, must I call for help, but you do not listen?” – Habakkuk 1:2
God doesn’t exist, so forever. Or God does exist and he’s an asshole and you still have to wait forever.
“Why do you tolerate wrongdoing?” – Habakkuk 1:3
A good question that God never answers.
“Look at the nations and watch—and be utterly amazed. For I am going to do something in your days that you would not believe, even if you were told.” – Habakkuk 1:5
This is God speaking and we’ve heard this before. God never delivers.
“ Lord, are you not from everlasting?” – Habakkuk 1:12
As a human made God, the Lord has lasted far longer than necessary.
“Why then do you tolerate the treacherous?” – Habakkuk 1:13
Another good question God never answers.
The chapter ends with Habakkuk awaiting an answer to his second complaint. Will God answer? We’ll find out in the next chapter.
