Atheism Quote – Robert G. Ingersoll

Today’s Atheism quote is a classic from Robert G. Ingersoll.

“An infinite God ought to be able to protect himself, without going in partnership with State Legislatures.” – Robert G. Ingersoll

Exactly! If God was real and truly powerful, he doesn’t need politicians protecting him. He’d simply come down from wherever he is and lay down the law exactly as he intends it to be. This is not difficult for an all-powerful god. Make believe gods, however, would have a hard time passing laws without the help of humans.

Atheism Quotes – Robert G. Ingersoll

Today’s Atheism quote comes from the famous free thinker Robert G. Ingersoll.

“An infinite God ought to be able to protect himself, without going in partnership with State Legislatures.” – Robert G. Ingersoll

Republican politicians, take note, for God is too powerful to need to vote.  If God really was all-powerful, he’d step in and make it happen. He wouldn’t need Republican politicians pushing a religious agenda for him.  He’d just do it.

Atheism Quotes – Robert G. Ingersoll

Today’s Atheism quote comes from Robert G. Ingersoll.

“If the people were a little more ignorant, astrology would flourish — if a little more enlightened, religion would perish.” – Robert G. Ingersoll

I love this quote!  With the rise of the internet and access to other Atheists and information on religion, religion is on a decline.  A slow decline, but it’s amazing what knowledge can do to one’s critical thinking!
