Instead of a quote today I’m pointing readers to the very kind act Patton Oswalt did recently. Oswalt is an Atheist, but his act is less about Atheism and more about kindness. After a recent Twitter post, someone responded by attacking that post. Instead of replying in kind, Oswalt took a look at the guy’s Twitter feed and found he was going through a lot of rough shit in his life and had a GoFundMe account setup to help pay for medical expenses. What did Oswalt do? He donated to and shared the GoFundMe link to his followers, urging them to donate too. Very quickly the GoFundMe account vastly exceeded the goal.
What did the guy do? He apologized and thanked Oswalt for his kind actions. There you go. We all lash out at times and often we do so not knowing the full truth.
